Jay Husson

Chinese Program

Jay Husson studies early Chinese thought and its interpretations and transformations over the ages, especially around issues of pedagogy and action in the broader ru  (“Confucian”) tradition. He is also interested in refractions of philosophical and religious themes through various mediums, including poetry, music, and film. En route to Berkeley, he received a B.A. in East Asian Studies from Middlebury College and worked at a community organization in San Francisco’s Chinatown.
