Tutor Application
No longer accepting applications for fall 2024
All applications for Tutors must include the following:
1. The Google Form Application itself; and
2. A copy of a résumé or C.V. (if not previously submitted). This must include previous teaching experience, dates of employment, job titles, and titles of courses taught.
DEADLINE: Applications are due in the department office NO LATER THAN FRIDAY, August 30, 2024.
Eligibility. In order to hold an Academic Student Employee (ASE) position, each student must a) have a 3.0 grade-point average, b) have no more than two Incomplete grades, c) be in good academic standing (i.e., not on academic or disciplinary probation), d) must be registered for at least twelve units for the term of the appointment.
FIRST-TIME ASEs are required to attend the New ASE Orientation sponsored by the Office of Labor Relations.
UAW Orientations are MANDATORY for new Graduate Student Instructors, Acting Instructors - Graduate Student, Readers and Tutors. All first-time Academic Student Employees (ASEs) are required to attend a New ASE Orientation with representatives from UAW 2865(link is external), the union of ASEs at UC. At this orientation, union leaders will familiarize you with your rights, protections, and benefits as an Academic Student Employee.
