Language Programs

The Department of East Asian Languages and Cultures offers programs of both undergraduate and graduate instruction and research in the languages of East Asia from ancient times to the present.  

Instruction includes intensive training in several of the major languages of the area including Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese), Korean, Japanese, Mongolian, and Tibetan.
