Jiaqian Zhu

Jiaqian earned her A.B. in Comparative Literature and Chinese Language and Literature with a minor in History of Art in 2018 from UC Berkeley. Her work lies at the intersection of  the expression of self, interiority, and the interior in modern Japanese literature, with an emphasis on the relationship between literature and architecture. Her other interests include relational aesthetics, fin-de-siècle Vienna and epigraphy. Outside of academia, she devotes to the practice of Chinese calligraphy, Guzheng, painting and Guqin.
